Born Helena Baaba Botchway, the 26 years old is the recent representative for the Central Region at the upcoming TV3 Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2017 contest.

The tall dark efficacious lady had her basic education at the De-Youngsters International School and furthered to Krobo Girls Senior High School.

The mental health nurse passionately acquired the aforementioned career after studying at the Nurses Training College, Pantang. Her prowess landed her a prefectorial post at the first female SRC president; a post that was perfectly executed.

Now

She is currently studying Bachelor of Science in Mental Health Nursing at the University of Cape Coast after working with the Accra Psychiatric Hospital in Adabraka, to acquire more knowledge in mental health.

Future with GMB

The alluring Baaba deems it important and necessary to tackle Mental Health as a dominating ill condition which is a major worry to this country. She seeks to use the Ghana’s Most Beautiful as a platform to create awareness on issues on mental health to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and the incidence of suicide.

Interest & Other Life

Her tendency to respect views and beliefs that differ from her own leaves her no choice than her love to talk as well as give listening ears to vulnerable people in the society.Meet Baaba, Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2017 Rep for Central RegionWith an ambition in life to bring about change in the lives of the less privileged in the society especially health related change, she has chosen to spend her precious time to work with the family planning division of Ghana Health Service (GHS) as an Adolescent Health mentor where she mentors young people and educate them on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Right Issues (SRHR).

As an adolescent health mentor, the adaptable young lady voluntarily works together with a team to form adolescent health clubs in the various Senior High Schools in Accra. Some of these schools she has worked with include Labone, HOTCASS, Accra Girls’, Kinbu etc.

She hopes to make an impact as she takes the journey through GMB and her project to tackle Mental Health.
